More Cobras to be upgraded for U.S. Marine Corps
Bell Helicopter is being awarded a advance acquisition contract to provide long lead parts and components required for the manufacture of Lot 10 UH-1Y (15) and AH-1Z (13) helicopters for the Marine Corps in support of the H-1 upgrade program. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (60 percent), and Amarillo, Texas (40 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2013. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
